Auckland Zoo

Yesterday we went on a trip. To the Auckland Zoo Room 12 Room 11 and Room 6 came when we got there we went through and the first thing we saw was a Red panda and it was cute that I wanted to have it then we went through to meet the people that were going to show us around the zoo there were the twin brothers Fraser john and their was only 1 lady and her name was kirsty and she was looking after my class for a little while then we went to. The Tuatara place there was heaps of them but some of them were hard to find and there were also Tuatara eggs and you can tell if it is a boy or a girl so if it was a boy then it was warm and if it was cold then we went to look at the kia birds and i actually found the first kia it was eating
then we went thru to see the blue duck it was only small so we went to see the wallabies and they were like a kangaroo's then we look at the parrots.

 

Bearing

Today my class and I have been working on maps for our math. Yesterday the class and I learnt about Bearing and that bearing is the distance from north taken in clockwise direction. we also learnt about cardinal points and that their a South East West and North.

Making Manu Taratahi

Today we were reading about Manu Taratahi and we learnt how to make it bye our self and that they were kit's when I first looked at one I thought that it was for a decoration but it was actually a kite.and we had to make a storyboard about a Manu Taratahi and make our own characters.

3-D Shapes

This term we are focussing on Geometry Yesterday we created 3-D Shapes Using  nets.
I Created a Cube. I Found it Easy because we just had to cut paper and fold It then get the glue and glue it to the paper.

Rotating Shapes

Today we learnt about rotating all sorts of shapes in different ways and then we had a quick game of rotating then we learnt about acute angles we learnt how to measure them with our ruler's and it was fun because we got to learn how to rotate our triangles in different kind of ways and another shape was a isosceles triangle and we rotated it with protractor. And rotation turns the shape around in any kind of ways.
